Coming from the Harbour

Walking:

  • The easiest way to get to us, is by walking via «Lootsi street», passing by a big shopping centre called «RIMI».
  • Cross the «Tuukri Street» and continue your walk straight up «Jõe Street».
    («Lootsi Street» becomes «Jõe Street»).
  • The next big crossroad, (crossing «Narva mnt.») «Jõe Street», will go over to «Pronksi street».
  • Walking along Pronksi street, you will have to cross «Gonsiori street» and walk past the park on the left side of the street.
  • After a short block you will arrive at another big crossroad.
    You will see the «Stockmann Shopping Center» on the diagonally across.
  • At this crossroad — Turn left into «Tartu mnt.» following the tram rails, second driveway on the left
    is the entrance to our building, It’s a large dark red wooden building. (Tartu mnt. 31)

By Bus from the harbour:

  • From terminals A or D – take bus #2 and get off at the stop called «Keskturg»
    (3 stops from terminal A, 2 stops from terminal D). It should also show the stop’s name
    on a digital display screen, (next stop) near the driver of the bus.
  • Ticket bought from bus, will cost 20 EEK (1.25€).
    Buying a ticket from a kiosk, before catching the bus, will cost 12 EEK (0.75€).
    Ensure to validate your ticket once on the bus (use electronic or punch machine).
  • After getting off the bus at the stop called "Keskturg", cross the road and walk back
    down «Tartu mnt.» for 50 meters.
  • Our house is on the Right hand side just before a big crossroad.
  • Our building is the large dark red wooden Building (Tartu mnt. 31).

Coming from the Bus Station

  • Leave the «Bus station» through the main entrance.
  • Walk straight till you see tram rails.
  • Cross the crossroad and the tram rails and turn left on to «Tartu mnt.» Just walk down «Tartu mnt.»
  • Following the tram rails, until you see a big red wooden building on the right hand side, just before a large crossroad and before «Stockmann Shopping Center». (Tartu mnt. 31).

By Tram:

  • Leave the Bus Station through the main entrance, walk straight till you see tram rails. Cross the crossroad and the tram rails. Take tram #2 or tram #4.
  • Get off in the next stop and just walk straight down «Tartu mnt.» following the tram rails.
  • After about 120 meters you'll see our building on the right hand side, a large dark red wooden building, Tartu mnt. 31

Coming from the airport:

  • Take the bus #2 near the airport arrival entrance. Get off at the 4th stop, called «Keskturg».
  • It should also show this name on a digital display screen (next stop), near the driver.
  • Walk up along «Tartu mnt.» about 1800 meters, following the tram rails.
  • Just before a big crossroad, and before «Stockmann Shopping Center». (Tartu mnt. 31).
  • Is on the right hand side - a large dark red wooden Building.
  • Ticket bought from bus, will cost 20 EEK. (1.25€)

Coming by Taxi

Taxis that you find on the street tend to overcharge. If you can, it's much more reliable and cheaper to order a taxi on +372 638 0000 to pick you up (pay attention to the car number that they tell you) and expect to pay 50-125 EEK, depending on traffic and whether you are coming from the harbour, bus station or airport.

Coming by Car

We have plenty off street free car park space, at the front of our Building. If you’re coming from the Harbour, please follow instructions from Harbour above.

Location

GIDIC Hostel is ideally located, with easy access to the Airport, International Bus Station,
& Ports.

If you’re going out at night everything is with in walking distance. You can walk to anywhere in the city and/or to the Old Town. There is plenty to do in Tallinn with cinemas, great pubs, restaurants, shopping centres and local tours. Just ask our staff for ideas!
